Payment deadlines and instalment plan selection

Semester fees may be paid either as a one-time payment or in instalments, provided that an instalment plan has been selected from the second semester of studies onwards.

The requirement to select an instalment plan (i.e. to choose between a one-time payment and payment in instalments) applies to semester fees starting from the second semester of studies. The option to pay semester fees in instalments is not available for the first semester of studies.

The instalment plan must be selected through the USOS system within the deadline specified by the University. Failure to make a selection within the prescribed period results in the obligation to pay the full fee in a single payment.

INSTALMENT PLAN – DEADLINES

By 12 March 2026 (summer semester 2025/26), students are required to decide how they wish to pay their semester fees by selecting a payment plan. A choice must be made between a one-time payment (Default Plan) and payment in instalments. The selection must be made in USOS.

SEMESTER FEES – DEADLINES

A fee is deemed paid on the date the funds are credited to the University’s individual virtual bank account assigned to the student.

Deadlines for payment of semester fees – winter semester:

  • First semester of studies (One-time payment): by 1 October
  • Second and subsequent semesters (One-time payment): by 20 October
  • Payment in instalments (available from the second semester of studies onwards)
    • First instalment – 35% of the fee: by 20 October
    • Second instalment – 35% of the fee: by 20 November
    • Third instalment – 30% of the fee: by 20 December

 

Deadlines for payment of semester fees – summer semester:

  • First semester of studies (One-time payment): by 15 March
  • Second and subsequent semesters (One-time payment): by 20 March
  • Payment in instalments (available from the second semester of studies onwards)
    • First instalment – 35% of the fee: by 20 March
    • Second instalment – 35% of the fee: by 20 April
    • Third instalment – 30% of the fee: by 20 May
